I've been on vacation in Californa (mainly staying in Ventura and Carpinteria) since the 30th. Upon arriving the weather was perfect. It was warm enough and sunny enough to sit on the beach all day and cool enough to pull on a pair of jeans and a hoody at night. The weather forcast for the next couple of days though is an almost record amount of rain. It's crazy to see the newscasters here dressed like they are standing on top of a glacier, bundled up in heavy, puffy coats, with a thick scarf and a fur-lined fashion hat. It's in the 60's here! Im wearing flip-flops! I know if I was at home it would be in the teens and I would be dressed like the newscaster. Not to take the storm lightly though, because the last storm of this force caused devastating mud slides. The towns seem to be prepared though, handing out free sand bags to residents.
