Here are some that come to mind for best concept album:

Pink Floyd's The Wall (I'd consider a lot of Pink Floyd's albums concept)
The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds

Lots of hip-hop albums come to mind including:
Deltron 3030
Gorillaz - Gorillaz
Prince Paul - A Prince Among Theives (or Dr. Octagon)

Having trouble coming up with the worst.

Ha! So true. I do kind of like that song but only in a cheesy, "I love the 80s" kind of way.

Didn't Meatloaf have a concept album? That would be my vote for worst.

Ziggy Stardust. That's all I have to say.

I think the weirdest thing about Styx, period, is that Dennis DeYoung looked more like somebody's un-hip science teacher dad than a rock star. And sadly, the George Clooney mullet didn't help. He rocked that thing for waaay too long.

You should see Dennis DeYoung these days. He looks quite a bit like Tony Bennett. I took my grandmother to see him at Butler a few years back (and yes, the tickets were a Christmas gift for her). He played all of his hits with his wife, an orchestra and a children's choir. It was...strange.

One of the signs of the apocalypse is for us to even discuss Dennis DeYoung.
