So there's obviously been a fairy recent resurgence of main stream break dancing going on in Indy. It's always been there in the underground, but in the last week I've seen some bad ass breakers showcased twice.
First there was the half time show at the last Roller Girls match and last night at the masquerade ball people gathered round and watched the break dancers for at least half an hour.
We've even got a special gallery up of the guys who were at the ball, check it out on the Party Crashers page. It was amazing.
So what's fueling this thing? Is there a group spear heading it here in town?
Whatever the case may be, it's a nice change and great to see it going on.
If you're a fan of watching / learning breakdancing, I suggest checking out Casba's Ground Control Thursdays. On top of having great DJs such as DJ Top Speed playing underground Hip Hop and Breaks, there are always plenty of skilled breakdancers showing off their moves in a friendly atmosphere.
