Today I discovered a new (?) service from Yahoo called OMG: http://omg.yahoo.com/

It seems to be little more than an over-designed dumping ground for vapid nonsense. The name, therefore, is brilliant. Truly this is the culmination of the Internet.

My teenage stepdaughter noticed it on Yahoo's front page--but when I go to Yahoo, it's not there. Which tells me they're targeting it towards teenage girls. Weird.

Bad news also appears on OMG... I went to yahoo.com and Heath Ledger's death was broadcasted on the home page of Yahoo. When I clicked on the title of the article, it took me to: http://omg.yahoo.com/heath-ledger-found-dead-in-nyc-at-age-28/news/5898

Looks like it's going to have the pop culture news on it...

What a dumb name for a news service... at least Perez Hilton is based on some word play... like OMG!
