Any advice on a great restaurant for New Year's Eve? I'm not looking for package deals with crowded dance floors and champagne at midnight, just a few ideas -- places I might not think of -- for a nice dinner out (without the kiddos).

There is a place on the Southside called Bobby Joes Beef and Brew. It is a restaurant that does not allow children under 16. It has a bar and a modified menu for New Years Eve. My husband and I went there last year and had alot of fun. You might want to call ahead and ask about the menu and reservations. Hope this helps.

Come to Fountain Square, park your car for the night and eat at the Shelbi Street Bistro, Gusto!, Luxor or Santorini and then hit one or -- even better -- all three of the NYE parties in the neighborhood at Deano's, Radio Radio or Big Car (I don't think Deano's has a cover, it's $5 to get into Radio Radio -- comes with snacks -- and $10 at Big Car but that includes a drink). Then, follow this all up with breakfast at the Peppy Grill.
