Readings at the Lazy Daze Coffeehouse (above) competed with the once-a-month open reading at the Studio School & Gallery.

Lylanne Musselman, host of the monthly Irvington Studio Writers open reading, has announced that the event has been put on hiatus until April, while the host venue, the Studio School & Gallery, 5610 E. Washington St., will finish reconfiguring its new digs.

So, the previously announced meeting ofor Thursday, Dec. 27, will not take place.

The new event will have a different concept and will be called the Irvington Studio Writers Round Table. It might meet on a new night, which would avoid the current scheduling conflict it has with the nearby Thursday night readings at Lazy Daze Coffeehouse, 10 S. Johnson. About 20 people crammed into the Lazy Daze annex for the last reading, hosted by Ian Rossman, on Thursday, Dec. 20.
