OY TO THE VOILD... a Jewish Santa Claus

So does anyone else on here have the same experience as we do, being from multi-religious families and sharing the holiday experience?

In our family we have a Jewish side, a Christian side, a Mormon side and a non-religiously-affiliated side. Sometimes we find this a burden, but most of the time we enjoy spreading out the gift-giving (and GETTING!)

How do you celebrate the holidays with your families?

I have family and friends who celebrate Yule, Hanukkah, and Christmas. Everyone gets special gifts and hopefully some time to spend together to let them know they are loved. That's really what the whole holiday season is about for us, togetherness.

It's strange to be part of an outsiders holiday celebrations when they are so different than who you're used to. It seems everyone plays dirty bingo or has a white elephant exchange no matter what their beliefs.

Diversity's good and no one should let their feelings about others beliefs or practices effect how they show someone they appreciate and care about them. You can not agree with someone's beliefs, you can even think they're nuts, but by all means give them a hug and tell them you love em.

All of my family is Christian, and makes it well known in everything they do, especially when they vote.
