I can't get over how great this show is. Pushing Daisies has a unique look, and script. Everything about this show screams "Best New Show", but I'll wait for the Emmy nominations to come out before I make any other predictions.

What are your thoughts?

Love it! So quirky. I'm sure the critics will love it, just hoping it finds an audience.

Just had a chance to catch up with the show on abc.com. Great stuff ... narration, art direction, script ... I hope they can keep the quality on this level through the entire season ... Applause.

Wait a second ... a show about a guy that brings dead people back to life? Love the concept. Here's the wiki description for those that haven't seen it (including myself) ...

"Pushing Daisies is a "forensic fairy tale" that focuses on Ned, a piemaker with the mysterious ability to make the dead live again. The gift is not without its complications--if he touches a revived being a second time, they die permanently; and if a person is revived for more than 60 seconds, somebody else nearby dies ("It's a random proximity thing"). Ned, along with his private investigator friend, Emerson Cod, and his childhood sweetheart, the once-dead Charlotte Charles, whom he likes to call "Chuck", capitalize on the gift by reviving the dead murder victims to ask them about their last moments so they can collect rewards."

Thank you for the informative synopsis, Monsieur Zombieguy. *side note: I picture you as a French speaking zombie whos parents moved to the states after WWII.

Pushing Daisies is the most innnovative new show this season. I watched it by chance a couple of weeks ago and was intrigued. I think word of mouth will keep it around if the network gives it enough time.

Was able to catch the 10.24 episode right before the Colts game. It was the best episode yet, and the first few were pretty darn good. They were even able to weave in a TMBG tribute to "Birdhouse in your Soul" -- and it made sense to the plot.

The show does a great job of balancing appeal to both genders. There's some touch-feely stuff, but they also blend in some murder, mystery and sci-fi attributes.

The characters play well together, too ... Chi McBride is the sour to the highly-sweet pair of Lee Pace and Anna Friel.

More often than not, I'm able to do e-mail / other stuff while watching shows ... not so with Pushing Daisies ... it moves too fast to be able to multitask much.

If you are still curious about the show and haven't been able to fit it in, I would probably watch the show from the beginning to get all the nuances of the characters ... all episodes are still on abc.com.

Agreed. Truly a Lemony Snicketts/Gilmore Girls tagteam. The cinematics and quirkiness ... that's all Lemony. The quick, witty banter ... there's where Gilmore Girls comes into play. Yay rah, ABC. :)

I love this show, too. It seems less like something that would be on network tv and more like something that would be on HBO or Showtime.

The narration, the chemistry between the main characters, the mystery-solving plots are all brilliant. And the fairy-tale quality of the show is sweet without being sappy.

Plus, I've loved Swoosie Kurtz ever since that show, Sisters.
