Early last month I got sick enough to stay home from work. I wasn't so sick that I had to stay in bed all day, but I also wasn't feeling well enough to leave the house. In my boredom I got online and perused Ebay for the original Nintendo. I figured it would keep me busy next time I find myself confined to the house. Since then I have become addicted. My favorite game is Zelda, but I'm also quite fond of anything Mario related. I figure this was a great purchase, since it's getting cold out and there's really no reason to leave the house anyways. The only problem I've come by is finding new games. They are all available online, but the shipping most of the time is just too much. Does anyone else still play the original Nintendo? Any games you would suggest?
I will have to ask the son and pass along his wisdom.

There were tons of great games on NES, and you can buy and download a lot of them on the Wii and play with the original graphics and an original-style controller.
I still have a soft spot for the first "Batman" movie game on NES. RBI Baseball and Gauntlet were favorites too (but those were off-brand games, so the cartridges looked different-they were black instead of gray, the labels cover the entire front instead of the smaller labels most of them had and the front was sloped and didn't have the grip of the "standard" cartridges, so they were difficult to remove).
Also, Castlevania and Castlevania 2 were both off the hizzie.
My younger brother has our NES and most of the games for it.
you have to play Wizards and Warriors, such and amazing yet extremely challenging game!
