Even when it's not First Friday Big Car Gallery is still the coolest place in town to hang out. They always have local and national acts stopping by throughout the week, be it musicians, poets, artists, yo-yo enthusiasts etc. This Friday is no exception. The evening starts at 7pm and showcases stop motion animations by Charley Bowers and by Russian animator Ladislaw Starevitch. The music starts at 8.30 with one of my favorite local acts Bronze Float opening the show. Impossible Shape front man Chris Barth will be performing at Poisonoak alongside AuroraDoreyAlice. The two will be giving us their act titled "The Lives that Leaves in Trees". I'm not quite sure what to expect from this performance, but you never can tell with Poisonoak. He could come out acoustic, electric, or simply making music on a blade of grass. This event takes place at the Big Car Gallery in Fountain Square. Go to http://www.bigcar.org/ for more details.
