We did our little interoffice gift exchange last week and I ended up with a mini Nun Bowling set. With a $5 price tag it's hard to be real creative. But McDonald's and Panera Bread gift cards showed up. As did a box with scissors and a four-pack of SCOTCH TAPE from one of my coworkers.
"It's a practical gift!" he defended himself, after MUCH laughter. "Who doesn't need scissors and scotch tape on Dec. 23 or 24 when you don't want to have to go run to Meijer!"
OK. We thought it was hilarious. I'm glad I didn't end up with it, but it was still funny.
Other fun White Elephant/Gift Exchange gifts I've ended up with -- a pack of Tic-Tacs, a very interesting vase, a half-used bottle of whiskey. (Among friends, of course.)
Who's got other good ones?
