In a political environment controlled by corporate interests , it is difficult for common sense, equity and creativity to really thrive. I've long been an advocate for updating the copyright laws in this country, and believe that if the corporate culture nazis can be silenced, then the US and world can usher in a new era of 'digital enlightenment.' I think for many people, a more liberal media landscape would change our culture from a consumptive ego-driven culture to a post-postmodern production based culture (i.e. "It's not what I can buy that makes me who I am, it is what I can create")
