I have decided this holiday season to support only local businesses. I think it's important for America to have local independent businesses. When I eat out, I look for small home style restaurants instead of the big chains. So far I have been impressed with the quality of the food and the service I have received. No more McDonalds and Pizza Hut for me. I know several Hoosiers are employed by these large corporations, but I think it is good for us if we take some of the money we spend at the large chain stores and spend a portion with the small independents too. It helps to keep our money in the community. Instead of making some guy in California another ten billion dollars richer this year.
