I know we've already talked about mexican food and the best place to get it, but I just can't get enough of La Piedad. I have never had a bad experience there. True it may not be the most authentic place to get mexican food, but it's close to my house and it's my favorite. We went there tonight and as usual our food was on our table in less than 15 minutes. I'm a fan of the Vegetarian Combo C which consists of a burrito, a tostada and a quesadilla. It's more food than I can handle, so I always have leftovers for the next day. I love the waitstaff to. They aren't rude, but they aren't exactly friendly either.
Get a clue....the food sucks the service sucks go to Taco Bell and it is cheaper and faster. Unfortunately that such a great location in Broad Ripple is wasted on such a lame excuse for Mexican food. I hope they go under or have a real Mexican cook come in to make some fresh tasty items that do not talk down to "American" tastes but, rather embrace the true wonders that exist in authentic Mexican cooking!
I love La Piedad!!!! I think the service is fast and friendly...and the food is affordable and delicious. I can't believe you'd even try to compare it to Taco Bell. Even if it's not traditional Mexican food, it's still out of control good. Did I mention the endless supply of warm chips?!?!?
Never been there! I would love to try it. Maybe if we ever come to Broad Ripple my niece might take me over there!

What's with the attitude, man? Just because a food isn't "authentic" doesn't mean it necessarily sucks. As it turns out, both of your complaints (authenticity and service) were covered in the initial post so why don't you get a clue and stop being an ass.
I'm a La Piedad fan, too...I've never had a bad --or expensive-- meal there. I can't wait for the snow to melt and the sunshine to return to Indy, so I can sit on the deck again.
I usually have my sketchbook with me when I dine there and a couple of times the waiters have gathered around my table, watching me draw and encouraging me to make increasingly over-the-top drawings for their entertainment.
Not bad... one of the better "white bread" Mexican places in Indy.
