Has anyone ever done the Times Square New Years Eve thing? We have an apartment in Staten Island so a place to stay is not a problem or an expense. I think it could be fun and a neat thing to check off the "done it" list. To my suprise I am getting very little interest from my wife and four teenage kids. They think it would be too long, too cold and too crowded. Is it worth it? When do you need to go down to TS? It would sorta suck if you have to be there at 9:00 AM just to get "packed in"
Thanks
Let's just put it this way, there's nowhere to go to the restroom and once yer in the gates for the event, yer pretty much stuck in there. They have hardcore security as well. Take the security check point at the airport and multiply it by 10. When i lived in Manhattan, I was lucky enough to be friends with some folks that worked for BMG right there where the ball drops. We sat up on the top floor in a big boardroom, drinkin', and watched the ball drop. Best New Years ever...
