I'm not quite ready for my Best of list, (I know you all are as jittery as Rosie O'Donnell in the buffet line to get my list...right?), but to hold you over until then, here's my Worst of 2007 list. Note the three-way tie for number 1, as I just couldn't bear to judge two of those films better than the others.

(10.) "Awake"-Would have been higher on the list but for a wet T-shirt shot of Jessica Alba. Sorry, I'm a pig.

(9.) "Perfect Stranger"-Bruce Willis and Halle Berry in a thriller with no thrills and a supporting character who is sometimes sinister, sometimes not.

(8.) "Evan Almighty"-How do you make Steve Carell not funny? I still don't know quite how they managed to do it.

(7.) "Ghost Rider"-Marvel's darkest super hero makes jokes. This could have been a dark masterpiece, but instead was a bore. My skull's on fire. Heh heh.

(6.) "The Reaping"-Dull, boring horror film with no scares, but plenty of swamp folk talking to Hilary Swank.

(5.) "Hannibal Rising"-A half-baked origin story exploring the psychology of one of the great cinematic characters in history, but totally ignores psychology.

(4.) "The Invisible"-I killed you, but now I love you. Oh, so you're not dead? Great! Let's go out.

(1a.) "Norbit"-Eddie Murphy...can you at least make me laugh once? Just once?

(1b.) "The Condemned"-Vapid, empty, crass, action film starring wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin. An ultraviolent action flick that chastises its audience for watching an ultraviolent action flick.

(1c.) "Daddy Day Camp"-When did Cuba Gooding Jr. become a garbage man? He's apparently stopped acting and is picking up Eddie Murphy's trash. By the way, his Oscar is hereby officially revoked.

With apologies to some films I missed: "License to Wed," "Underdog," "Epic Movie," "The Heartbreak Kid," "Good Luck Chuck," "Next," "The Hitcher," "The Invasion," "The Comebacks," "Dragon Wars," "Primeval," "Bratz," "I Know Who Killed Me."

Your turn. What did I miss? Tell me why I'm wrong, or agree with me.

I hated the big-"can't miss" blockbusters of the year Transformers,Spiderman 3,Pirates..just all GOD-AWFUL! but your dead on the crappers above as well! I didn't love the Aptow films either(Knocked-up,Superbad...just tooooooooooooooo long) I though you did a great job of reviewing some of these Turds(Thank God for the Indie Films!)

I guess I'm happy in that I missed most of the stinkers on Joe's list. Lucky me.

I agree with Garin that 2007 has been notable for so many sure-thing big releases that turned out to be duds. They weren't awful, just underwhelming: Spider-Man 3, Shrek 3, Transformers, Pirates, American Gangster, Golden Compass...

...oops, jumped the gun on that last one. Stay tuned.

What the hell?! Norbit was hilarious!! Good Luck Chuck was pretty good too. There are no bad Jessica Alba movies.

Joe, how DARE you make fun of Rosie? I am reeling, sir, and extending a virtual glove slap!

Anyway, you left off "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry." I know, you didn't review that one -- I did because you had to miss a week. Thanks, buddy. "Music and Lyrics" was awful too and I got to review that as well. "Who's Your Caddy," was pretty bad, but I saw that one for fun.

Garin -- You said "turd."

Sorry...I know...too easy of a target.

And thanks for the cover on "Chuck and Larry." Maybe I'll start getting sick whenever there's a stinker on the schedule just for you! :)
