We've all got our Myspaces and Facebooks and, obviously if you're reading this, Indy.com. But what other social networking sites do you frequent? And what are the pros and cons of each?
There's IndyMojo, IndyMusicScene, IndyMoms and IndyPaws. Where else do you frequent and why?
I'm a member of the following:
Friendster (never use anymore)
MySpace (use with less and less frequency, although some friends still use it as a means of contacting me)
Facebook (use somewhat frequently)
LinkedIn (almost never use)
Indy.com (use quite often, obviously)
MySpace is about it for me. I have been invited to LinkedIn, but haven't used it yet.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I still have Friendster, though I haven't logged in in well over a year, I'm sure. I was recently reminded that I had a Hi5 account (which I also never use) and canceled that a few weeks ago. LinkedIn, eh. I don't really see the point, except for professional contacts. Myspace and Facebook are waning. IndyMojo I had for about a minute but kind of gave up.
Am I outgrowing social networking, or is it just not working for me anymore?

I think there's only so much networking one can do. It's great to be out there, but how many friends can one person really have? Are there really that many people out there that we like?
im pretty much a myspace freak, but i use it mainly for ye olde dj business, um and indy.com. other than the musicians on the myspace i think i've at least met every person on my friends list. yikes that scary!
Just read something about how, at least for kids, the definition of "friends" is changing due to social networking sites. As in, I have 1,000 friends that I've never met.
I logged on to TeeBeeDee, a boomer site, just to see what was up with it. I think I have a Myspace page still, though I'm rarely on.
I've asked around if people my age and older use any; most say they don't have time/inclination although they'll look up something in particular, like restaurant reviews.
I have some under the age of 14 family members on myspace, and they and all their little friends lie about their ages. You should read some of the stuff these lil bastards write! Geez, I love the internet but I'm glad I grew up without it.
