Taffy decided to honor David Lindquist's contribution to INtake Weekly with an old school-style bar crawl. Sorry, kiddies, no funny quotes, random musings, or pictures of mostly empty bars this week, just a half-dozen bars scattered around the city where for a few minutes you can unleash your inner diva. That's right, we're talking about karaoke, the pop culture punch line that never gets old.

Down the street from the RCA Dome, Spencer's figures to benefit greatly from new stadium construction. With the Colts in its backyard, this lively sports pub will be tailgating's ground zero.

Formerly a family restaurant, this room is subdivided into several smaller spaces to serve locals living near the former fort.

More rock and country than other local gay bars, the Varsity plays host to an eclectic mix of people from the surrounding areas as well as Harrison Art Center visitors looking for suds.

The paint barely looks dry and the wood trim's still got a shine at Shiggs' snazzy digs. This large single room is decorated with neon signage and race banners, and partially lit at night by the glow of televisions and arcade games.

Speedway's "great hall" is one big open room just a flying tire's distance from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The exterior recently received a fresh coat of paint, but the well worn interior welcomes longtime regulars.

my personnel favorite is Karenoke at the Mineshaft on Wednesdays, al thouh there are some nice folks at Shigg's Diggs.
Saturday nights are cool at Weebles, Shadeland and 38th and i hear tuesdays and fridays are the bomb at downtowns The Living Room, go Friday night and meet my beautiful cousin the barmadam. Sorry boys she's married but she's good for a gander. I have yet to frequent karaoke night there. Anyway i am looking for a sunday karaoke venue, any ideas?
