Group name: Booyah Achieved! A music promotions group by Mike Boyle and Jessica Clark.
Hometown: Indianapolis.
Genres booked: Indie rock.
How did you create your name?
Jessica: Mike and I have always been huge fans of Minus the Bear. We used to travel all over the Midwest, going to shows, laughing, getting into pillow fights. It only seemed fitting to use a song title as victorious as "Booyah Achieved."
What steps do you take to prepare to rock?
Jessica: Eat some Yats, drive to Pendleton.
What are the largest and smallest crowds you've hosted?
Jessica: The smallest? Ourselves. Me, my mini-accordion and Mike, with his kazoo. It was . . . awesome. The largest . . . pushing 300.
Why should I go to your show?
Jessica: Well, because our shows are fun, and usually feature acts that have never been to Indy. Booyah Achieved! wants to help make our city one that every great band wants to play in when touring.
What is the worst album you own?
Jessica: Hmm . . . this is tough. I try not to own anything I don't like. Plus I don't want to be a feelings-hurter.
What Indiana booker could you pummel in a bout of Local Celebrity Deathmatch?
Jessica: Can I pick Mike? Even though he's my partner? 'Cos I'd definitely like to pummel him . . . to death.
Do you have what it takes to be the next American Idol?
Jessica: No, absolutely not.
Mike: Not at all.
How many groupies do you have?
Jessica: One . . . his name is Blake. He is totally obsessed with Booyah Achieved! Mike has one, too . . . her name is Cheyenne. They never ever leave us alone. We kinda like the attention, though.
Fill in the blanks: If my band were an animal it would be a __, because _____.
Mike: If my band were an animal it would be a shark, because sharks keep moving.
Jessica: If my band were an animal it would be a unicorn, because mugs of beer wearing hats are not animals.
What is your lucky clothing item to wear while working the door?
Mike: My lucky red socks.
Jessica: Anything gold.
Finish this sentence: In 10 years I will be ___?
Jessica: Still bummed out that there will be no more Harry Potter books. Telling my kids to pick on Mike's kids. Definitely still achieving booyah.
When you end up on "Behind the Music," are you more likely to be a former junkie or a former jailbird or both?
Jessica: Um, neither. I'm a good girl.
Do you have any cool show stories?
Jessica: Nope, not yet. Someone passed out at our last show and we had to call 911. That's not really cool though, is it?
