So, what's the deal on Thanksgiving, anyway? Just to think about how "lucky" you are and eat as much as possible, right? Uhhhh, not really. I'm thankful that no one at our family gathering will be drinking, and that removes the likelihood of a fist-fight. ;o) I have a very important personal remembrance that I celebrate on this day each year. Here's a hint: No way will I need a designated driver! lol
God, please help me to think about YOU more than I think about my taste-buds. amen, abbie
I "reckon" the true meaning is being lost. The eating so much you pop is weird enough. It,as I came up, meant a time of sharing. History, however,"study you must".
Thanksgiving is always a time to get with family and friends and eat lots of food. I enjoy it because I get to see my neices and nephews. This year was special because two of them are now over 21 and I bought two six packs of quality ale to drink with them. I consider myself a balanced adult role model that socially drinks and everyone had a great time. No fighting, just love.
