Two area high school marching band students were named to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl marching band.

Jordon Schell, Ben Davis, and Jordan Aders, Avon, will perform with the 97-member band during halftime of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl football game Jan. 9 in San Antonio.

Schell and Aders were selected from 1,300 applicants. Each was honored at his school Tuesday.

Avon and Ben Davis will compete Saturday at the Bands of America regional competition at Lucas Oil Stadium, then Wednesday through Nov. 14 at the BOA Grand National Championships, also at the stadium.
