$2,500 reward offered in dog's torture death
WINCHESTER, Ind. — The Humane Society is offering a $2,500 reward for information in the torture killing of a dog in eastern Indiana’s Randolph County.
The animal’s body was found near the intersection of two county roads on March 24. Authorities say the dog was stabbed, shot and choked with a bicycle chain, and that rocks were tied to its legs. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Department is investigating, but Maj. Todd Dunn said there were no immediate suspects.
Investigators also have not identified the dog’s owner
The Humane Society’s Indiana director, Anne Sterling, says anyone who tortures an animal “can be dangerous to people.”
