I'm always eager to post information about local showcases, because as many of you may be aware, I am an up and coming artist that also sees a need for more opportunities for "local" artists to showcase their talents to the potential fans. These showcases get us one more step closer to pulling those fans that will one day buy our cd or stand in line for hours to buy that concert ticket, or break down in tears at the mention of their name....it could happen!! In my opinion, it all starts with the artist's home turf. If an artist is able to generate a buzz and establish a following, that creates momentum and gives the artist mor emotivation to continue their journey and began to branch out!!

Now, unfortunately, sometimes it requires another market to catch on to the music and create the demand for the rest of the industry....but from where I stand, I am prayerful that Indiana will open their minds, eyes and hearts to all artists that are working diligently to be heard and more importantly compensated for their talents...
