Loads of complete-series boxed sets are hitting DVD shelves -- not that there's anything wrong with that. "Seinfeld: The Complete Series" leads the way, but many more join the hit 1990s series.
Here are DVD boxed sets either already or soon to be n the market.
-"The Addams Family Complete Series Giftset" (MGM): Every episode of the ghoulish 1960s comedy, bonus features, nine double-sided discs.
-"Agatha Christie's Poirot: The Classic Collection, Vol. 2" (Acorn): Agatha Christie's Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, sleuths around some more in this collection of nine feature-length murder mysteries. Stars David Suchet. Ten discs for 1,020 minutes of suspense plus bonus features.
-"All Creatures Great and Small: Complete Collection" (BBC): Entire PBS series, 28 discs.
-"Angel Collectors Set" (Fox): Every episode of vampire series, bonus features. 30 discs. Never-seen features include a personally signed letter to fans from the creator, companion booklet.
-"Ballykissangel" (BBC): Every episode of BBC series starring Colin Farrell, 15 discs.
-"Barbara Stanwyck: The Signature Collection" (Warner): Films from 1930s to '50s starring Stanwyck: "Annie Oakley," "East Side, West Side," "Executive Suite," "My Reputation" and double-feature disc of "To Please a Lady" and "Jeopardy"; five total discs.
-"Barry Manilow: The First Television Specials" (Rhino): Rebroadcasts of pop star's TV specials from 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1988, five discs.
-"Benny Hill: The Complete Megaset" (A&E): Fifty-eight uncut episodes of the Thames Television-produced comedies, bonus features, companion booklets, 18 discs.
-"The Best of RAW: 15th Anniversary" (World Wrestling Entertainment), released date Dec. 26: Celebrate 15 years of action and excitement in this three-disc, nine-hour collection of the best matches and moments through the history of RAW.
-"Blade Runner: The Final Cut" (Warner): Ridley Scott's movie is spectacularly restored and remastered from original elements and includes never-before-seen added/extended scenes, commentary and more. This title has options: a two-disc special edition contains the all-new final cut; the four-disc collector's edition features everything in the two-disc set, more bonus features and three other versions of the film (1982 theatrical version, 1982 international version, 1992 director's cut); the five-disc ultimate collector's edition features everything from the four-disc set plus the ultra-rare, remastered "workprint version" of the film -- with no Deckard narration until the final scenes.
-"The Boston Red Sox 2007 World Series Collector's Edition" (A&E): Eight-DVD set features every complete, uncut game broadcast from the World Series, ALCS Games 5-7, more than 30 minutes of bonus footage, interviews and more. Also, a customizable viewing experience with alternative play-by-play from four TV sportscasters: Fox Sports, the Red Sox Radio Network, the Colorado Rockies Radio Network and Fox Sports en Espanol.
-"The Bronx Is Burning World Championship Limited Edition" (ESPN Video): Besides the eight-part ESPN miniseries portraying the 1977 New York Yankees of Billy Martin and Reggie Jackson, this five-disc set contains a 1977 Yankees championship hat, a team photo and the complete Game 6 of the World Series.
-"Burt Lancaster: The Signature Collection" (Warner): Cluster of actor's films from 1950-1973: "Executive Action," "The Flame and Arrow," "His Majesty O'Keefe," "South Sea Woman" and "Jim Thorpe: All American."
-"Close Encounters of the Third Kind: 30th Anniversary Ultimate Edition" (Sony): Contains all three versions of the Steven Spielberg movie set in Indiana: the 1977 original theatrical version never seen on home video, the 1980 re-edited special edition and the 1998 collector's edition. Bonus features include an all-new Spielberg interview.
-"The Coen Brothers Gift Set" (MGM): Joel and Ethan Coen's cult classics "Barton Fink," "Blood Simple," "Fargo," "Millers Crossing" and "Raising Arizona."
-"Dark Shadows: The Beginning Collection 2" (MPI): As many know, "Dark Shadows" became one of the most popular daytime series from 1966-1971 with alluring tales of Gothic mystery. This set contains rare early episodes before the arrival of 175-year-old vampire Barnabas Collins.
-"Degrassi High Complete Series" (WGBH Boston Video): Every episode, 90-minute special and other bonus features, four discs.
-"Doctor Who: The Complete Third Series" (BBC): Every episode of third installment of sci-fi show, more than six hours of bonus features, six discs.
-"Engineering an Empire: The Complete Series" (A&E): Every episode of the History Channel series hosted by Peter Weller, bonus features, six discs.
-"ESPN Ultimate NASCAR High Octane Collector's Set" (Genius Products): Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and all the racing circuit's stars, bonus features, four discs.
-"Everybody Loves Raymond: The Complete Series" (HBO): Every episode of the Ray Romano comedy series, bonus features, 44 discs. Housed in a structure that looks like the Romano home, including steep rooflines. Includes exclusive reproduction of 40-page series finale script autographed by all 10 of the episode writers.
-"Felix the Cat Golden Anniversary DVD Set" (Classic Media): The complete 1958-59 series. Relive the antics of Felix, the brainy Poindexter and greedy nemesis The Professor.
-"Ford at Fox: The Collection" (Fox): This is the ultimate to end all ultimates. This 21-disc set spotlights 24 films of acclaimed director John Ford, including "Grapes of Wrath," "How Green Was My Valley" and other classics. -"The History Channel Presents: The Universe" (A&E): Epic documentary miniseries in conjunction with 50th anniversary of artificial satellite Sputnik, five discs.
-"The History of Indiana University Basketball DVD" (Warner): Hey, Hoosiers fans, check out this DVD packed with historic hoops and bonus features.
