There is no solid evidence that the cats from Pavement will reunite...but let's just say I have a good feeling about such an event happening sometime before 2010. Who would you like to see get back together to record a record and tour?
I certainly would. I got the Slow Century DVD earlier this year which I enjoyed quite a bit. Despite the band not being together, at least Stephen Malkmus has continued to make music.
Scott Kanneberg has released a couple of good albums (though nowhere near Malkmus-good, in my opinion) as Preston School of Industry, and Mark Ibold has played with Sonic Youth a bit live these past couple of years.
Dunno what Steve West is up to. Think Nastanovich is mostly chilling out and racing his horses, tho' he did appear with Malkmus at Pitchfork this year.
I hear Malkmus lives in a castle. Anybody confirm that?
My general theory is what's over is over. Leave me with my good memories; don't ruin the music with 10 reunion tours.

You do have a good point. It's rare for a band to get back together after several years and put out a better album than their previous work.
