I am trying to gather responses from MEN about what they think DRESS CODES for WOMEN should be in the nightclub. Now, I know this topic will cause much debate/controversy as well as deliver varying responses based on personal preferences, however, I want this thread to be entertaining, enlightening and informational.

Please consider when you make your responses the common misconception that the way a female dresses bears some indications of their sexual nature or lack thereof.

I have asked this question to a few MEN and here are their responses:

" I think women should be required to wear stilleto pumps because it changes the way they look, the way they walk and gives a more mature appearance"

"Women should dress sexy yet classy...men are visual beings"

"Nothing too revealing...leave something to the imagination"

Check back to see how this topic unfolds and be on the lookout for the WOMEN to address the DRESS CODES for the MEN....... What do you think?

I think women should give more thought to what flatters them and less thought to what is "hot" that year. Good style is whatever works for you.

I can't believe people are actually discussing how women should be required to dress. "Enlightening?" The opportunities for irony boggle the mind.

I'm with Neal.

There's nothing wrong with confidence. It can be attractive. But in the rare times I get out to the kind of nightclubs you're talking about, I find myself wondering why so many women let their friends leave the house in outfits that, though theoretically "sexy", do more to accentuate shortcomings than hide them.

dress code depends on the bar, is she going to a club, a pub or a lounge, and who is she with? some people (i can't even single females out) just don't dress right no matter what! As long as you're clean and got your nails and hair did, then the dress code shouldn't really be a problem, just no hitop Reebok's Pleeeeeez!

A lot of bars have dress codes for men. I grew up thinking feminism meant equal treatment so this isn't shocking or ironic to me. In the end they are private establishments so they can set whatever admission guidelines they chose to.

Hair and nails did? If you men start showing up with expensive manicures and hair-do's than maybe I will too. Probably not though, because who cares. Until then, you're lucky if this chick changes her clothes before she goes out. I don't have "outfits".

No dress codes should be required. If girls want to dress sexy or slutty, then they have every right to. I, personally, am a sucker for a girl that wears scarves.

I hate the idea of a guideline that women (or men) should follow to be accepted at a club. Frankly, the girl wearing stilleto pumps with her "nails did" is the absolute last girl I'd have any interest talking to. Give me a break...

I love the argument that a woman SHOULD wear pumps because it "changes the way she looks". How incredibly appealing.
