Shows rarely blow my mind anymore but I was extremely pleased that I got to see Amy Lavere / Mandy Marie at Radio Radio and Lord of the Yum Yum at Birdy's.

So no one saw any concerts this year worth noting other than Taffy and us?

"Concerts" are really annoying. I wanted to see QOTSA, but I knew what I would be surrounded by. I did however go see HELMET at the Vogue and I immediately turned into a 16 y/o kid..

I'll go with Polyphonic Spree at the Vogue, Ryan Adams at Murat, Robyn Hitchcock at Luna, and Josh Rouse at...uh...in a classroom--a.k.a. my performance "studio." I'm sure there's dozens of others I'm forgetting on the spot.

Ryan Adams at the Murat was simply amazing! 3hrs and 20 mins! Well worth my $25. 311 and Matisyahu at White River was pretty awesome too! The rain and the jams!

I felt like this was a pretty lackluster year for shows. My highlights were Regina Spektor (front row...she eye sexed me), Nickel Creek's "Farewell for Now" show at Birdy's (front row again), Margot's "homecoming" show at the Vogue back in early summer...the energy was awesome that night. Paper Route at some little place in Anderson. The sound guy was clueless, but the performance was still great.

I can only remember the last few months, but attempting....Margot at The Vogue, Polyphonic Spree at The Vogue, Ha Ha Tonka opening at Birdys, Regina Spektor at Murat was nice, all the Rock For Riley Showcase Series shows were great, The Whigs and The Broken West at Birdys, Spoon @ The Bluebird, Matt & Kim & Against Me! at Rhinos, GWAR at the Vogue blew my gourd but I didn't want to listen to the music, Wax Fang at the Art Vs Art Afterparty, Nada Surf & Sea Wolf at Birdys, Reverend Peyton at The Vogue, Mudkids 10th Anniversary Show at Spin

I live closer to Kentucky but I did make it to Indy to see Edwin McCain@ The Vogue(check out my avatar) and Shaw/Blades @ The Music Mill. I also saw Sammy Hagar @ The Murat and will be seeing John Fogerty there as well on Decmber 1. I bought half price Van Halen for Conseco on ebay(just couldn't justify $160).

Out of town...saw The Police @ Churchill Downs and Genesis in Columbus,Oh. Def Lepperd/Styx/Foreigner in Louisville. Seems like I'm gone all the time but thats all I can come up with off the top of my head.

Oh yeah Jimmy Buffett @ DEER CREEK(yeah I said Deer Creek..haha)

Josh Ritter at the Music Mill. This guy will be a star someday. Terrific songwriter/storyteller that performs with the same passion.
