I'm planning on showing up. Been here a year and keep meaning to check out some local music.

This is nearby and seems like a great place to start.

Since I'm not really familiar with, well, any of these bands, what kind of music can I expect?

Lord of the Yum Yum...well, wait and see. Everthus is fun, weirdly instrumented indie rock. Cabin sounds a little like Coldplay with a southern accent. Should be an interesting show.

Yeah, just hit up the jukebox (on the music front) and found two Deadbeats tracks in there ... can't quite put my finger on it, but they remind me of someone.

In any case, certainly interesting ...

Any sort of a cover for this show? Don't see any in the calendar/on Birdy's site, but I've never been there so thought I'd double-check.

I'll be at Birdy's on Saturday, too. Keep an eye on www.myoldkentuckyblog.com in the next few days for live in-studio mp3's from Everthus The Deadbeats. All three songs will be on their forthcoming Standard release next year. Or just tune in to 91.7 WEEM this Sunday at 3 p.m. for our Live Lounge session with the 'beats!
