I don't want to sound like an alarmist, but there is a growing evil that threatens the already thin-layered sanity of this country. It waits in the shadows, renewing itself weekly to pounce upon the weaker, feeble-minded individuals of our society.
The evil is a television show called "Family Guy", and it's powerful influence has already touched my life in a very personal way. Sadly, my brother has been snared in a vice-like grip by this animated ne'er-do-well. Already weakened by his love for alcohol, my brother's brain was seized upon by "Family Guy" from the moment of it's inception and now I fear he is lost in a permanent "quagmire" of Peter Griffin's life lessons and wisdom from Brian the dog.
What saddens me most is the insidious way that the program can infuse itself in to the very thought process of an individual. If I say to my brother, "You know, that mayoral candidate really knows the people" what I get back is, "Well FAMILY GUY says"...
I call my brother after a long day's hard work, and as he answers the phone, I can almost hear the wwhhiirrrr of the DVR when he answers. "Hey man, what's up?" I ask and inevitably within 5 phrases I hear, "dude you should have seen Stewie on Family Guy", or "you are gonna crack up when you see the new Family Guy". It's sad, really!
So I guess the lesson here is that we should all be happy to have pumpkin pie and turkey at Thanksgiving....aaahhhhh, it's got me too!
So your brother is a loser.. Things could be worse!
Yeah, it's not "Family Guy" that's evil. If your brother didn't attach himself to "Family Guy" it wouldn't inevitably been some other show...
