Agreed -- 2.5 stars out of four translates to 3 stars out of five. Still don't know why we're using this 5-star scale on Indy.com when we use four stars in INtake and the Indy Star. (I had an earlier post on this topic.) I look at this way, to use Ebert & Roeper terms. To me two stars out of four is an average film, marginal thumbs-down. Two-and-a-half stars out of four is average, marginal thumbs-up.
