RE: Local social scene needs seasoning
Cool. I just hate to think that people are being discouraged from attempting to do something new and different in Indianapolis because we're all just a bunch of blasé hipsters who are oh so bored and too cool. I think that the challenge for people in Indy is to push beyond the typical hipster elite type barriers and be welcoming and inclusive. I am glad that you feel that derby is accomplishing that in some way. I really believe Indy can take the next step and make that the norm rather than the exception.
