Time to dress the turkey
Time to dress the turkey. Forget the Stove Top -- get out your paints, sequins, crayons, fabrics and any other embellishments you can think of for The Star's annual decorating contest.
We provide the bird in Thursday's Indiana Living section of The Indianapolis Star. Dress it up any way you like.
Just don't take too long to get in touch with your inner turkey muse: Entries must be received by noon Nov. 16.
Winners will be selected in the following categories: age 6 and younger; ages 7 through 12; and ages 13 and older. We'll select first, second and third place in each category and publish those nine entries -- and some of our other favorites -- on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22.
Last year, 1,111 readers sent in entries. Send yours to: The Indianapolis Star, Dress the Turkey Contest, P.O. Box 145, Indianapolis, IN 46206-0145. If you're hand-delivering your entry, stop by The Star at 307 N. Pennsylvania St. (Mark the delivery "Dress the Turkey.")
