Robyn Hitchcock Live!
Unique opportunity to see Robyn Hitchcock play an acoustic in-store set at Luna Music Midtown (52nd & College) this Friday, November 9th. Hitchcock is scheduled to perform at 6pm, in support of his new box set, I WANNA GO BACKWARDS (featuring his classic albums: Black Snake Diamond Role, I Often Dream of Trains and EYE), this five disc set also includes: While Thatcher Mauled Britain Part 1 & 2, a collection of his largely unreleased solo b-sides, outtakes and home recordings. My advice: arrive early. There are plenty of fans of his years in the band The Soft Boys and of his solo stuff. I was hooked when I saw the video of "Balloon Man". There are plenty of things to do at Luna while waiting for in-store performances. Check out their recently beefed-up collection of cool art and music books.
