Oh yeah...when I was a kid, I used to be fascinated by those guys at the state fair with the knives that "slice and dice" I would stand there forever watching them do their thing and when a guy showed me one knife that literally could cut through a piece of wood, I convinced my mom we HAD to have it. (Not that I was planning to cut down a forest with it or anything) I still have that knife and really it was nothing more than an overglorified bread knife, but still, to an 11-year-old it was impressive.

I fell for the biggest gimmick of all...Rod Stewart.
I am pretty anti-gimmick. I hate bands that use them and I hate people that use them too much as well. But I do like The Misfits, and they had their skeleton-horror movie-punk gimmick in full effect.
