Deep Thoughts
Here's a question...if you could know when you were going to die, would you want to?
I'd like to say, "No, I believe in making the most of life every day.", however I can't say that I do that. I work, I waste time, I put stuff off till tomorrow, or the next day, or the next. I don't always make the time to call people I know I should. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day crap.
But if I knew, would i really change anything? Would I frantically try to get stuff done? Would each day be tainted by the fact I hadn't "made the most of it?"
I think I'll take the not knowing. When it happens, I'll just hope that I've made peace with everything. In the meantime...I've got some traveling to do!
i was really hoping that this would be a Jack Handey thread. so let us delve into HIS deep thoughts: "When you die, if you get a choice between going to regular heaven or pie heaven, choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if it's not, ummmm, boy."
I would rather want to know how, not when I would die. That way it would give me a warning, but I wouldn't be counting down the days. Not to mention, I would hate to find out it was much sooner than I anticipated.
All in all, I think I would rather just live life and not focus on death any more than I have to.
