Six-packs on Sundays?

Indiana is one of 15 states that still restrict the sale of booze on Sundays. But, for the first time, grocery stores are leading a push to sell alcohol on Sundays, so that you could pick up a six-pack before settling in to watch that Colts game, instead of having to remember to buy it Saturday night.

A poll in 2006 showed that most Hoosiers favored keeping those laws. What do you think? Should you be able to buy a bottle of wine or six-pack on Sundays?

Yes. Pure idiocy and tyranny that the government can tell us when we can or can't buy alcohol.

This old law is way outdated, time to change it. Have you signed the petition? Last I heard they didn't want to change it because it would "only" create 22 million in tax revenue.

I signed the petition and wish I could take it back. I originally thought it was just to allow alcohol sales on Sundays. But after I saw that they also want to allow cold beer to be sold at gas stations, it immediately lost my support. Enabling drivers to pick up beer on the go simply isn't a good idea. Even adding 1 more drunk driver to the road isn't worth the convenience. You can call me a fascist if you want, I'm ok with that.

I've signed the petition and contacted my state representative. Out with the old, in with the new...who needs the government to tell you when, where and how you can buy booze!
