U.S. Army Field Band, Soldiers' Chorus to Perform at Pike

The U.S. Army Field Band and Soldiers' Chorus will give a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Pike Performing Arts Center, 6701 Zionsville Road.

The 65-member band and 25-voice mixed chorus led by Col. Thomas Palmatier will perform selections including "A Billy Joel Songbook," John Barnes Chance's "Variations on a Korean Folksong" and Philip Sparke's Tuba Concerto, with Sgt. First Class Matthew Nelson as soloist.

Admission is free, but tickets must be requested by mailing a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Army Band Tickets, P.O. Box 47604, Indianapolis, IN 46247. The number of tickets requested must be specified.
