Embracing the old adage,"if you build it, they will come"-- only, with a new twist -- WFYI Public Broadcasting will present Central Indiana's NPR and PBS fans with the rare opportunity to tour the station's new headquarters and digital broadcast studios during a pair of free open houses.

The festivities begin Friday, October 3, with a formal dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony in the morning, followed by a public open house, from 3 - 6 pm at WFYI Public Broadcasting's new home at 1630 North Meridian Street. A second open house will be held Saturday, October 4, from 1- 4 pm. (Directions and parking information can be obtained by visiting wfyi.org and clicking on the link located in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage.)

Guests will have the opportunity to tour WFYI's new digital television and radio studios, meet WFYI's on-air personalities and special PBS KIDS characters, gain helpful insight about the analog television shutoff on Feb 17, 2009 and discover all the unique educational services that public broadcasting affords the community.
