Plane Crash
I recently heard about the plane crash that left former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM in critical condition. What was buried in the text of this article was that 4 others died as well. Since the ones that died weren't celebrities, they weren't mentioned more than a couple of times.
I do appreciate that our media lets us know when our celebrities are injured, unhealthy, or diseased. What they should also do is recognize that there are not-so-famous people around them that also suffer or die. The four that died in this particular crash deserve more than just a few lines in the article.
Famous people are just people like the rest of us, so maybe when something happens to them they should get equal mention with the others involved in the incident.
