If you are feeling a little restless with a traveling jones that only a rock and roll road trip can cure, I've got just the thing for you: Cincinnati's MidPoint Music Festival September 25th-27th. This 3 day event, now in its seventh year, will feature dozens of bands on seventeen stages throughout the Cincy area. I'm looking forward to the debut of Robert Pollard's new band, Boston Spaceships, supporting their new record "Brown Submarines" at the Southgate House. Other "national" acts include the Mates of State and The Sadies. There's a showcase for the indie label Lujo records whose roster includes Baby Teeth, Cool Hand Luke and the Pomegranates. There's a 3-day "See It All" wristband pass available by pre-order for $29---not a bad deal, considering that the promoters are promising a special surprise act, the details of who what when and where will be announced only to those who wrists are banded with the official "See It All" pass. www.mpmf.com
