The Ultimate Fighting Championship is in Omaha, Neb. this week for the fifteenth installment of Fight Night. The card is free on Spike TV on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. EST and is filled with guys who haven't worked their way onto Pay Per View yet, or in some cases, haven't produced once there. Six matches are scheduled for Wednesday night's fights, the most noteworthy of which feature lightweight matches of Nate Diaz vs. Josh Neer, Mac Danzig vs. Clay Guida, and light heavyweight Houston Alexander facing off against Eric Schafer.

Diaz is a slick submission specialist and Neer doesn't pose that much more of a threat than Diaz's last victim, Kurt Pellegrino. If Diaz hits his back expect Neer to tap out. Danzig versus Guida offers a study in contrasts - the meticulous vegan art photographer takes on the long haired wild man from Chicago who is sponsored by a union local. Houston Alexander has spent little more than one round's worth of time in the cage during his four UFC fights, which all ended by knockout - two he gave, two he received. Expect a fast start and quick finish in front of his hometown crowd.

After the fights, stay tuned for...more fights as the eighth installment of The Ultimate Fighter reality series kicks off. This season features lightweights and light heavyweight coached by heavyweights Frank Mir and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. The coaches are scheduled to fight shortly after the season's conclusion in a kind-of-for-the-title-but-not-really-anymore-since-Randy-came-back match. It should be a good night for MMA fans, check back here and let me know what you think.
