I just got in. Mel Tillis opened for us and was slendid. His fiddler duo are really a treat. Every member of his band I met were just all around super-nice guys.

The drive back from visiting with friends outside of DC was beautiful--I'd never driven through Virginia before and the mountains were spectacular.

Not 15 miles outside of Louisville on 64, some idiot driver thought he could make an exit he overshot and was two lanes to the left of--unfortunately I was in the right hand lane as he slowed WAY down and tried to cross two lanes to get to the exit. I swerved to avoid getting hit by him and fishtailed about 50 yards before finally ending up on the side of the offramp--just missing the going into the pond by about 15 feet. That was annoying--not the missing the pond part, but driving ten hours only to get in an accident not twenty minutes fom home. :/

Me too! :D

It's really true what they say about time slowing down in experiences like this. Everything was moving in slow motion and I saw every highway signpost I tried to avoid hitting and kept thinking to myself when I realized I wasn't going to get out of the fishtailing that "I hope the car doesn't flip, I hope the car doesn't flip...". It was quite surreal, actually.
