Drunk Texting
So I'm sitting on my balcony last night drinking and listening to NPR. If I have no other plans, this is my Saturday night ritual. It's free. It's relaxing. It's fun. But when drinking alone, I invariably get the urge to speak to someone. Occasionally, I choose myself. Sometimes I choose others. This is where the drunk texting comes in.
I go down the list of lucky people in my phone and attempt to compose amusing one-liners (I bet Woody Allen would be great at texting). Within a few minutes, I have several truncated conversations going at once. And then, eventually, mercifully, I pass out. Thank you Virgin Mobile. Thank you very much.
I think this has pretty much become a staple of our modern lives, so I'm wondering what drunk texting habits or stories the rest of you have. Any embarrassing moments?
I once sent a dirty drunken text to my boyfriend. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention and had instead sent it to my friend. She replied saying that she was sorry, but she wasn't a lesbian. Luckily, that got cleared up the next day when she explained everything to me, since I still had not realized my mistake. We had a very good laugh at that one.

I nearly sent a very inappropriate e-mail to my mom thinking it was this girl I was messing around with, but I caught my mistake in time to avoid a very uncomfortable Freudian moment.
Good thing you caught yourself in time. I've sent sober texts to the wrong people, but none of them quite as embarrassing.
