Worst box office weekend ever!

Well, not quite. But it was the worst single weekend at the movies for the last six years:

It's not puzzling -- we only had one new mainstream release, "Bangkok Dangerous," and I think people can just smell when Nic Cage is pushing out a substandard flick. (They didn't show it to critics beforehand, either, always a sure sign of lowered expectations.)

So what were you out doing instead of your civic duty to feed the Hollywood machine? Watching the Colts get pasted by a mediocre Chicago team at our grand Lucas Oil Stadium debut?

Yeah, it was pretty bad. Too bad everyone's missing BAGHEAD!! It'll be gone from Keystone Art this Friday. Right now it occupies a solid spot on my top 10 of the year list.

Personally, I'm wishing they'd go ahead and pull The Dark Knight, then bring it back in three weeks as a last-chance-to-see-it-on-the-big-screen-please-come-see-it-so-it-can-beat-Titanic run.
