ANYONE ELSE GO TO NEIL DIAMOND LAST NIGHT. I LEFT WITH MIXED FEELINGS. HALF THE CONCERT WAS GREAT. HALF THE CONCERT SUCKED, AND SOME SONGS WERE REMINICENT OF AN EVANGELIST PREACHING. THE CORNY DANCING WITH THE OLD HAG SINGER WAS GAY. THE ACOUSTICS AT CONSECO FIELDHOUSE SUCKED AGAIN, IT's A BASKETBALL ARENA, NOT A CONCERT VENUE.

Anyone else have mixed thoughts on the Neil Diamond concert last night. Great artist. Some songs were awesome. Some songs were gay, like the corny dancing to You Dont Bring Me Flowers. Noticibly missing were songs like HELLO AGAIN, YESTERDAYS SONGS, or HEARTLIGHT and others. Neil Diamond would be better suited for Deer Creek, Conseco Fielhouse sucks for concerts. Its an awesome basketball arena, but that's all.

I agree that some more of the oldies should have been played but hey aren't they all in the business of making money on those new albums? I still think you should give him the credit that the songs he sings are meant to be sung by him. And at his age I think he did a great job. He sang the entire time without an intermission and gave his all. His voice still has that Neil resonance. Tags, give the guy a break. He may not have much of a butt anymore but he still puts on a great show. And you must not know much about the older tunes, because Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show is about an "Evangilist". I thought the show was more than I thought I'd see. I didn't think I'd enjoy it and was only going for my mother's sake. But I soon found myself out of my seat, dancing to the tunes I love: I Am I Said, Play Me, Cracklin Rose, Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show, and America. I thought the videos played during several songs made the night extra special. Conseco has awful acoustics and echoes. I wish they'd never torn down Market Square Arena.

I really enjoyed Neil Diamond's Concert Tuesday night. I thought the mix of his classic hits and songs from his new album "Home Before Dark" was just right. I think he is an American treasure as a singer-song-writer and performer. He must be doing something right from the large age range of those who attended the concert, from high schoolers to senior citizens. From where I was sitting it appeared most everyone there was having a good-time, which is what it is all about. It's just too bad more radio stations don't play his new songs too.

My husband and I have seen Neil 7 times over the years, and the Indy concert was the best ever; best sound system; best lighting; Neil's voice was stronger than ever. Close to twenty thousand people on their feet cheering can't be wrong! Wish we could afford to go again in St. Louis. Can anyone with the Star tell me why there wasn't an official review in the paper? This man is the greatest songwriter/singer of the last 40 years with dozens of platinum records. Your paper should be ashamed not to have done a great review. Of it you did a review and we missed it, then I apologize.

I saw Neil Diamond in the late eighties. And I saw him again in Indy and he did an awesome job. He came out and sang the entire time without an intermission and sang for two hours. The crowd I saw was having a great time. He had a nice balance between old songs and new songs. He has ALWAYS had songs about GOD. That is one thing I admire about him. But he did not overdo those songs. He sang many of his best hits. And I happen to love his new CD, which I might mention hit NUMBER ONE on the charts after his appearance on American Idol. And I think he is still a very handsome man. The stadium was almost sold out. He still has it and he still rocks.

I went to the Neil Diamond concert and have been trying to find out the name of one of the songs he sang that night and if it is on one of his albums. It had a line about Man of God, I assumed that might be the name of the song, but have not been able to locate it. Could one of you Neil Diamond fans help me out. Thanks in advance for your help. We enjoyed the concert by the way, but the sound left a little to be desired.
