As we all know this year is a election year and poets from all across the country have joined together to get people registered to vote. As the Indiana Rep. it is my job to get you involved. So here is plan on August the 15, 2008, from 6-9PM, Poets from Ohio to Florida will unify to host an open mic while at the same time get persons registered to vote. Indiana will do the same but to make it easy for you we have partnered with Starbucks Coffee and have seven locations throughout the city on all sides of town (to eliminate any and all excuses), to get any unregistered person registered. Promptly at 6PM we will have open mic for any and all poet interested in sharing their work. Poets please remember this will be a family atmosphere so poems must be fit the environment. To the general public this event is free and open to the public and if you know of anyone who is not registered than please bring them out and get registered to vote. Also keep in mind that we are not promoting any particular party but the purpose is to get unregistered persons registered. If you are interested in helping in any way please respond.
The address to each Starbucks will be release Friday of this week.
