It’s the story of friendship in all shapes and sizes, and the lengths friends will go to for each other. The Pyramid Players at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre present “Charlotte’s Web,” on stage Feb. 15 through March 15.
In this famous tale by E.B. White, Wilbur the pig is saved from certain doom—first by a little girl and then by a seemingly ordinary spider. The runt of the litter, Wilbur is destined for a short life until Fern, the farmer’s daughter, intervenes. When Wilbur is moved to her uncle’s farm, he befriends several animals. The most intriguing of his new friends is Charlotte, a friendly and wise spider, who reassures Wilbur that she will do everything in her power to assure he has a long and happy life. It’s no easy task. Charlotte must use her cunning and web-spinning skills as well as enlist the assistance of the barnyard animals. And Wilbur learns many valuable lessons along the way – including what it means to be a true friend. Pyramid Players productions are one hour in length and presented without intermission. Performances are for all ages, but presented particularly for kids in preschool through sixth grade. All tickets are $12 and include a snack.
