The joy of making a glorious noise during vacation bible school at a small church in Haina, Dominican Republic. Even though the church was located in a poor area, the children came together daily for bible school. The intensity of the nightly chess game in the Dominican Republic amazed me. Each evening about 5:00, the games would start and run for several hours with participants coming and going as well as spectators. The games were fast and furious with great animation and excitement.
