Art Potter, left, and his wife Irene, both of Indianapolis, walk past the B-17. Potter flew on 25 and 1/2 missions on the plane, getting shot down on that 26th mission somewhere over Germany, where he parachuted from the plane at 15,000 feet. He survived a year as a POW in Germany before being released. Potter was the tail and waist gunner on the aircraft, and was at the show with his wife Irene, who he has been married to for 65 years. The Wings of Freedom tour arrived at the Mount Comfort Airport on Friday, August 1, 2008.
