Today:
I love to travel and anything related to learning about foreign languages and cultures. I just returned from Spain and went to Costa Rica this summer as well. I was an exchange student in Mexico when I was in college. I also spent the summer in Italy a few years ago.
I have 2 children - a son who is almost 6 and a daughter who is 2 1/2. They are extremely important to me.
Hey! Thanks for the comments, and look forward to chatting with you!
mmmm... teacher brains. My favorite.
Hello! I love the Carribean because that is primarily where I have been lately. Vegas is great too! What about you? Thanks for the good luck on the business, it is going pretty well so far!
Hi Angel - I found you!! Looking forward to seeing you this weekend. Hope you have a great birthday weekend! Lisa
Vegas is great, but I love to gamble too...so if you are into the casino scene, I tend to stay away from the "big named" ones. Prices are very high there and you can WIN at the smaller ones. The food everywhere is great. Shopping is awesome, lots of big named stores. The Belagio fountain is really neat to watch. The animals at the MGM are fun too and the pirates at the Aladin are cool as well. I have not been, but the clubs at Hard Rock and Rain at the Palms are supposed to be super hot, Pure is somewhere too and have heard it was great. Definitely let me know how the trip goes...we just saw Cirque here in Indy and it was awesome!!! Have FUN!
Thanks for the comment. It is odd you mention Costa Rica. Going there in 3 weeks for Thanksgiving with fiance. Looking to move as we have a possibility to own/operate a B&B. It will be my 3rd time. Love San Jose, which is primarily where my extensive knowledge of CR resides, spencifically the suburb of Brasil de Santa Ana. Tamarindo/Santa Cruz is nice ad I look forward to my next visit. I am looking to get my ESL certification as I took many courses in college when I first thought it would be my pursuit. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the comment. I enjoy all kinds of ethnic food. I love Asian food, I already discovered PF Chang, their Mongolian Beef is superb! Quit unhealthy but incomparable with Fast food. When it comes to 'fast' food I prefer a Gyros or a Kebab what I have found in Broad Ripple. I am still searching for a Jamaican and African Restaurant here though. I was impress to see how many ethnic Restaurants were located in Bloomington compared to Indy. Do you know any here in Indy?
Hi Angel, I looked at your pictures - you have a lot of really good ones!!
Happy Birthday!! See you soon! lisa
thanks for the 'add' your gallery pics are fantastic - jealous of all that travel!!!
Hola!
Are you the same spanish teacher that I met a few months back at my restaurant? You came in with your husband's family, none of whom spoke any English. I had my menu translated into Spanish, and was able to (just barely) communicate with them.
My spanish is horrible of course. Hablar Espanol muy pequento. Deseo aprende, y necissito much ayuda!
It'd be good to see you again. I need some more practice. As if you couldn't tell. :-)

oh hey we got a review, too! Check it out! http://www.indy.com/posts/1002
Thanks for the comment on my profile. Why Mexican frozen food? It's a relative interest ... obviously doesn't compare to "real" Mexican food, but with my schedule I turn to frozen entrees a lot, and, among the options, Mexican comes out on top (along with pizza)
Thanks for the comment. I should clarify that those images were made by Indianapolis Star photographers through the years. I'm just the writer.
Hi- sorry i have not responded before now- isn't this forum great!! I am not an artist- but i love to visit galleries- i really want to go to the IMA for the Roman exhibit- i had the good fortune to visit Italy last fall- i was in Florence for 6 days with my daughter- That was a trip of a lifetime and we both want to return!! My last good read was "Into the Wild" {i want to see the film mostly for the Alaskan scenery} and i am currently reading "Empire Falls" -
I love to cook, but don't get to do much of that anymore.
Thanks for the add (way back when!). Your travel pics are just amazing!
I can honestly say I speak-uh no Italian, other than your basic common courtesies. I am Native American, as well, yes. Apache on my dad's side, Iroquois on my mom's. Basically, I'm differing amounts of Scottish, Native American, and Mediterranean on both sides... More than you ever wanted to know about me, I'm sure. Ha!
Thank you for the comment, and sorry for the lapsed response time. As a matter of fact, I have not been learning Spanish for long. Just a few months. My great grandparents immigrated from Argentina, but I took French in high school. C'est la guerre.
